The Production Manager will schedule, coordinate, and guide the activities of technicians and builders engaged in the following manufacturing areas: mechanical assembly, industrial control panel assembly and wiring, and industrial computer builds. The Production Manager will assist in the execution of the production plan generated by the MRP/scheduling system to ensure workflow meets the required deadlines and production output is consistent with cost and quality requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee Production Leads, Quality Leads, and the entire Production Team. Manage teams to align with processes and schedules, driving production outcomes.
- Assist with performance improvement when necessary.
- Hold the team accountable to expectations and deadlines while upholding MSI TEC culture and values.
- Administer semi-annual performance reviews for all build technicians, promote their career development, and identify issues blocking their progress.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality as projects mature from prototype to full production.
- Provide feedback to the Production Engineering team on new product designs, modifications, or production improvements.
- Collaborate with Engineering to create and improve production-ready documentation.
- Assist with implementation of technology enhancements such as added ERP functionality, QMS, Scheduling, etc. with our internal software system team.
- Provide leadership in scheduling, problem-solving, quality assurance, employee relations, and process improvements aligned with company objectives.
- Work closely with Quality to ensure corrective action investigations and root cause analysis are performed when necessary.
- Read, understand, and utilize various engineering, electrical, and manufacturing documents, including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Assist in creating and documenting test procedures, work instructions, and packaging instructions.
- Identify areas for improvement or efficiency, such as work instruction updates, work environment improvements, new tooling ideas, etc.
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary by manager or leadership to support the success of the team and organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business administration, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or additional certifications in production management or manufacturing is preferred.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in a production environment, with a track record of increasing responsibility. Previous roles can include production supervisor, engineer, or operations manager, focusing on various facets of production processes.
- Experience with factory automation components and industrial control panels.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively to deliver on build schedules, commitments, and deadlines.

- Experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management System for manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Business Central is a benefit.
Compensation:
- Annual salary range is $100k – $115k. This is an exempt position.

Location and Hours:
- The position is Monday through Friday during daytime hours, based on-site in Centennial, CO.
- The position may occasionally require extended hours as needed.
