XR Series – Ceiling mounted, flexible SCARA robots
The XR Series four-axis, compact gantry robots feature a ceiling mounted, flexible SCARA robot combined with a long-stroke Cartesian robot. As a result of their highly efficient, integrated design, the XR Series robots use up to 40 percent less valuable factory floor space than a conventional SCARA robot. The ultracompact VP Series six-axis articulated robots offer the highest speed and repeatability in their class. Their small footprint of only 160 x 160 mm (200 mm dia. for the aseptic models) saves valuable facility space and makes integration easy, yet despite their size, they have a large payload capacity. In addition, their highly efficient motors use a maximum of only 80 W of power each, and all motors combined use a maximum of only 300 W, resulting in significant energy savings. A slim, 130 mm-wide arm and long, 1,000- to 1,300-mm reach make it possible for these robots to reach around tooling or into deep, narrow spaces, such as plastic injection molds, without interfering with peripheral equipment.
