In this role, the Industrial Control Panel Builder Level II will be responsible for assembling and testing industrial control panels based on documentation such as layout drawings and electrical schematics. The ideal candidate will have the skills, education, and knowledge to work with minimal supervision and effectively communicate with engineering teams when identifying documentation inaccuracies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and utilize various engineering, electrical, and manufacturing documents, including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Wire subpanels and enclosures with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Perform light panel machining tasks such as drilling, tapping holes, and deburring using hand tools.
  • Assemble complex, multi-level panels and enclosures.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical fastening skills.
  • Operate battery-powered hand tools and automated cutting and crimping equipment.
  • Conduct testing and rework as requested by QC technicians.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Use a Microsoft Windows environment for wire labeling software, ERP data entry, and the Microsoft Office suite, completing the required computer entries with precision and attention to detail.
  • Review work to ensure the production of error-free products and document test findings when applicable.
  • Adhere to company build processes and company policies.
  • Manage and communicate the progress of projects to the Team Lead and Management.
  • Take on special projects outside of normal production as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Fluent in English with proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing; further education is a plus.
  • Preferred 2-year technical degree or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program, or 3-5

years’ on-the-job experience

  • Strong layout, wiring, and wire management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively to meet commitments and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to discern wires accurately.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, climb, balance, walk on concrete floors, stoop, bend, kneel, lift to 50 lbs., and grip effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand, power, or measurement tools in a safe and effective manner.
  • Preferred knowledge of National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), wire and cable types, ampacities, color standards, and wire management.
  • Preferred experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management System for manufacturing
  • Preferred experience with calibration practices and torquing equipment.
  • Preferred experience with electrical safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Preferred experience with UL508A Standard for Industrial Control Panels
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and focus on process improvements are essential.
  • Willingness and desire to work as part of a collaborative and innovative team.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and use email, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and label printing software.
  • High motivation levels and strong attention to detail are crucial.

Compensation:

  • Hourly range $27 – $29. This is a non-exempt position.

Location and Hours:

  • The position is Monday through Friday during daytime hours, based on-site in Centennial, CO. The position may occasionally require extended hours as needed.
