The Production Supervisor is the frontline manager responsible for daily production operations at the Centennial facility. This position ensures associates are informed, engaged, and compliant with MSI TEC’s operating procedures. The Production Supervisor organizes workflows, monitors staff and oversees all facets of daily activities to achieve safety, quality, and production targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop production technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and personal growth. Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members.
- Safety & Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and company regulations. Promote a safety-first culture and ensure all incidents are reported and addressed promptly.
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Plan, organize, and assign production orders and tasks to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Adjust schedules and priorities as needed to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
- Process Monitoring & Quality Assurance: Oversee daily builds and production processes to ensure orders progress on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Evaluate production stations for efficiency and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean methodologies to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Materials teams to resolve design, component, or process issues and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Inventory & Resource Management: Monitor shop stock levels, coordinate replenishments, and ensure the flow of raw materials and resources to support uninterrupted production.
- Equipment & Maintenance Oversight: Support equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and ensure all tools and machinery are in safe operating condition.
- Communication & Reporting: Serve as a liaison between production staff and management. Maintain clear communication channels and provide regular updates on performance, issues, and achievements.
- Emotional Intelligence: Exhibit high emotional intelligence by recognizing, understanding, and managing your own emotions and those of others. Respond appropriately to team members’ needs and resolve conflicts constructively.
Desired Education, Skills, and Experience
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical or vocational training in a relevant field is strongly
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial electrical work
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with UL508A control panels
- Proven experience as a lead, foreman, or supervisor in a manufacturing environment
Certifications & Licenses:
- Electrical license is strongly
Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of control panel building, including drilling & tapping, component population, wiring, and assembly.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) 70 and 79, wire and cable types, ampacities, color standards, and wire management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and routine PC
Systems Knowledge:
- Previous experience working with ERP systems
Soft Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility: Supervisors are often required to be physically present on the production floor, which involves regular standing and walking.
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stoop, and reach overhead: These movements are necessary for inspecting equipment, accessing materials, or assisting with production tasks.
- Manual and finger dexterity: Handling tools, controls, or small components often requires fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling: The ability to lift, push or pull objects, sometimes up to 75 lbs., may be required for moving equipment or materials.
- Specific vision abilities: These may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, all of which are important for quality inspections and safety.
- Occasional sitting and computer work: While most of the role is active, some desk work for reporting and planning is also required.
Salary:
- Range of $75k – $85k – Exempt

Location and schedule:
